Ingredients

  • Slices of cheese of your choice
  • Optional: Spices of your choice (paprika powder, garlic powder, onion powder, etc.)

Instructions

Slice the cheese slices into small squares or rectangles. Place the pieces on a plate and cover them with kitchen paper. Leave the plate at room temperature for 48 hours.
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (430 degrees Fahrenheit) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Spread the pieces of cheese (which now have a leathery texture) on the baking sheet, ensuring there is enough space between them.

Sprinkle with optional spices of your choice.

Place the baking sheet in the middle of the oven. Keep an eye on them because they cook very quickly! After about 3 minutes, the cheesepops are ready. Make sure to remove them from the oven before they turn brown in color, as overcooking can make them taste burnt.

Let them cool completely and store in an airtight container at room temperature.

They are delicious as a snack, as a replacement for croutons in a salad or on top of soup, or crumble them and use them as a crispy crust for casseroles.
