Walnuts are incredibly healthy
Most people know that nuts are healthy, but this is not only due to the healthy fats. Walnuts are packed with substances that are good for your body. In addition to omega-3 fats, these nuts also contain fiber, magnesium, vitamin E, polyphenols, proteins, potassium, plant sterols, vitamin B6, arginine, melatonin, copper, and zinc.

While these nuts are already delicious on their own, in the combination of this recipe, they truly shine as the star of the meal – the cream of the crop, one might say. 😉
Ingredients
For 2 servings
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 garlic clove (pressed)
- 2 tbsp mustard of your choice
- a handful of walnuts (finely crushed)
- pepper and salt (to taste)
- butter/olive oil/coconut oil (for frying)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and prepare an ovenproof dish.
Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap (or in a plastic bag) and flatten them. You can use a meat mallet, but a frying pan works well too.
Season the chicken breasts with pepper and salt and heat a frying pan with the oil/butter of your choice. Fry the chicken breasts for about 10 minutes until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken breasts from the frying pan and place them in an ovenproof dish.
Spread the pressed garlic over the chicken, smear the mustard on top, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
Place the dish in the middle of the oven for 6 minutes and serve.
Tip: This dish is delicious with a fresh salad!
