The above nutritional values are per serving, calculated for 3 servings. The nutritional values provided per dish are only an indication. Since the nutritional content can vary significantly depending on the brand/product you use, it has a significant impact on the overall nutritional value of a complete dish. Dinner in the form of a pie, how fun is that?! This broccoli pie is truly a perfect way to get kids excited about cooking and teach them to eat more vegetables. And this dish is so simple to prepare that even dad could make it with the little one 😜 as long as he reads the instructions carefully, of course…
Ingredients
For 3 servings
- 600 grams of broccoli (in florets, briefly pre-cooked)
- 100 grams of ham (cubes or strips)
- 150 grams of grated cheese of your choice
- 3 eggs (size M)
- 150 grams of crème fraîche
- pepper and salt (amount to taste)
- butter or oil (for greasing the pie dish)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit), line the bottom of a pie dish (about 18 cm in diameter) with parchment paper, and grease the edges.
Spread the broccoli over the bottom of the pie dish, sprinkle the ham on top. Sprinkle about 50 grams of grated cheese over the broccoli, saving the rest for the top.
Beat the eggs with pepper and salt and mix in the crème fraîche, stirring until you have a smooth sauce. Pour the sauce over the broccoli and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
Place the pie dish in the middle of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, it’s ready when the sauce has set nicely and the cheese is golden brown.
Tip: You can of course also prepare the dish in a (greased) oven dish. 😉
